It’s a reinterpreted version of the story of ‘Des Esseintes’ using metaphors or associations from the thoughts and feelings conjured up by the music.

2018-19 CFMC Club film directed and edited by John Groslin. It was filmed during Summer 2018 and had its premiere on 4th December 2018.

Entry from Anthony Gibson to 2019-20 CFMC (online) Chairman's Cup Competition. Anthony adds "Spanning over 2 years from concept to publish; this Music Video was collaboratively created by a cast and crew of 24 people. "Tyrant is about an authoritarian regime that is controlled by a tyrannical dictator. Empowered by the "cult of personality" effect, the people bow to his will or suffer the consequences." - Embodiment, 20202. Captured over 3 weekends, 5 locations and various cameras to create a dark picture of being controlled by an fictitious Dictator. A dolly and trolley tracking system was purposely built for the music video as well as special effects and props such as a smoke machine, break-through section wall, dictator logo flag, arm bands and wall hanging emblems. The editing process was arduous as new ideas had to be formed to help carry the storyline through. The use of visual effects and video overlays were also used to strengthen the image. This has been my biggest creation to date and has stretched my ability to create. It has taken many people, freely giving their time to make this happen. Largely the Colchester Filmmakers Club as well as friends and family. The budget was a threaded shoestring of £250 which has been my greatest challenge to work with. Creating the best work, harvesting as much as I can on a limited budget opens up the mindset to think/produce and be creative."
